History

It was established in 2002. The students can specialize in journalistic work in the media and news agencies, on TV and Radio.

Education

Faculty members conduct lectures and seminars at the faculties of Philology, of Crimean-Tartar and Oriental Philology, of Foreign Philology and of Philosophy. The courses are as follows: theory of mass communications, mass media, lingual- cultural sciences, informatics, bases of language communication theory, computer technologies in philology, bases of stylistics and culture of speech, comparative grammar of Russian and Ukrainian, theory of journalism, bases of journalistic investigations, kinds of journalism, advertising and public relations, PR, problems of mass media, journalistic technique and others.
The students have their practice in the leading publishing, electronic, audio and video mass media and clipping services of local and state administration.

Academic and Educational Relations

Good academic and educational relations are maintained with universities in Kyiv, Dniepropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Odesa, Izmail, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Russian University of Peoples' Friendship (Moscow); Ukrainian NAS Institute of Linguistics and Institute of Oriental Studies; Russian NAS Institute of Russian Language, Crimean Academy of Sciences, Center of Computer Studies in Leeds (Great Britain), Laboratory of Milan University (Italy), RUSSIKUM Institute of Russian Language in Bochum, Institute of Humanitarian and Political Investigations (Bern, Switzerland), Institute of Russian Philology (Opole, Poland), Sorbonne University and many others.
We will be happy to co-work with any educational establishment interested, that is specialized in training journalists, as well as with mass media!
