Kerch Economical Humanitarian Institute was founded in Kerch on the basis of the Educational scientific consultative centre of TNU named after V.I. Vernadsky in 2000.
Training of students on educational qualification degrees “Bachelor” and “Specialist” is carried out in the following specialities: the English language and literature, the Ukrainian language and literature, Ecology and environmental protection, Finances and credit, Psychology, Human health.
There are 2 graduating Chairs, 4 branches of graduating Chairs and the Chair of social humanitarian disciplines within the structure of the Institute.
At students’ and lectures’ service there is a library with 18 000 books of educational and reference literature and fiction in Ukrainian, Russian, English and German, as well as the constantly enriched electronic library. There are also computer classrooms, a special computer language laboratory for maintaining foreign-languages workshops. The studies for educational and practical classes are specially equipped for Geology, Ecology, Ukrainian, English and German and literature, Psychology, Functional diagnostics, and also a room for massages and a gym.
The process of studying is provided by 5 Professors and 25 Associate professors. The post-graduate study is provided for 23 post-graduate students and competitors for Candidate of Science degree.
 Speciality: «Ecology, environmental protection and balanced nature management»
The graduating Chair is headed by the Associate professor O.N. Turega.
Teaching staff:
The Chair has 2 Professors and 6 Associate professors.
Areas of research:
The Chair members carry out scientific research of the ecological problems of the eastern region of Crimea, adjacent water areas and zones of influence; collaborate with the Crimean republican association “Ecology and world” on the matters of current water supply and problems of underflooding of the central part of Kerch.
Speciality: «Human health»
The Head of the branch of the Chair of Physical rehabilitation is the Associate professor E.Yu. Grabovskaya.
Teaching staff:
The training of specialists-valeologists and specialists-rehabilitologists is provided by 3 Professors, 8 Associate professors and 3 post-graduate students. 
Areas of research:
The Chair members carry out activities directed at health invigoration and scientific research in organizing monitoring and correction of psychological and physical states of students with the help of means and methods of physical rehabilitation. The future graduates of the Chair have their specialization internship in Yevpatoria on the basis of the National Centre of Paralympic and Deflympic training and rehabilitation of the disabled people of the National Committee of Sports of the disabled people in Ukraine.
Speciality: «The English language and literature»
The Head of the branch of the Chair is the Associate professor N.A. Dyakova.
Teaching staff:
There are 4 Associate professors and 3 post-graduate students among the lecturers of the branch of the Chair of English philology.
Areas of research:
The research work is being done within the framework of the theme “Interactive foreign languages teaching methods”. Many of the lecturers had the courses of the English language teaching methods within Oxford educational and methodical complexes and got certificates, had their probation periods in the University of Delaware, USA, several times won and actively participated in different international programs and contests. The lecturers of the Chair are the members of the international organization of teachers of the English language TESOL, they participate in different international conferences of the English language teaching methods.

The Head of the branch of the graduating Chair is the Associate professor V.V. Derkach.
Teaching staff:
The educational process is carried out by 3 Candidates of Sciences.
Areas of research:
The theme of the scientific research work is “The dynamics of linguistic didactic research”.
Speciality: «Psychology»
The Head of the branch of the Chair is Associate professor G.B. Mazilova.
Teaching staff:
The process of training of future psychologists is carried out by 2 Professors and 3 Candidates of Sciences.
Areas of research:
The theme of the scientific research work is “Social psychological problems of a multicultural personality formation”. The lecturers of the Chair regularly maintain monitoring psychological and physiological research, as well as educational workshops and trainings.

The Head of the graduating Chair is the Associate professor O.V. Demchuk.
Teaching staff:
There are 7 Candidates of Science and 2 post-graduate students among the lecturers working at the Chair.
Areas of research:
The theme of the scientific research work is «The improvement of the economic mechanism of the enterprises of the AR Crimea activities”. Within the framework of this theme scientific practical conferences of lecturers and students take place involving different institutions of higher education, the articles are published in scientific and popular editions.
The Chair of Social humanitarian disciplines
The Chair is headed by Associate professor A.A. Dikhtyaryov.
Teaching staff:
The staff of the Chair maintaining the educational activity at all specializations is represented by one Professor, 3 Candidates of Science, Associate professors.
Areas of research:
The theme of the scientific research work is “The problems of philosophy and ethics in social and cultural area of Ukraine”.
The scientific practical workshop “Environment and the World” was created. The lecturers collaborate in the matters of philosophy and ethics with the Regional Laboratory of the International chair (UNESCO) of St. Petersburg’s scientific center of Russian Academy of Sciences.
