Project ProfileThe Project was established by the European Union as a part of the TACIS Initiative. The mission of the project is the Support of Management Education in the Crimea. The Project is based in Simferopol, Crimea, Ukraine. Ukraine is a country in transition. The region of Crimea, with its rich nature, history and strategic importance, has considerable potential for social and economic development. In particular tourism and SME development can be engines which pull the whole economy into positive progress. EDUK9801 is targeted to assist upgrading of Crimean Higher Education Institutions. Upgrading of Management Education and provision of modern training programmes for working managers is necessary for development of the Crimean business environment and business community. The Project started in April 1999 and will continue until December 2000.
