Memetov A.M. - the department chairman, Ph.D.,doctor of philology, professor.
In 1969 he graduated from Tashkent State University, Irani-Afghan department. He worked as a teacher of Persian at the department of general linguistics, then headed the department of the Crimean-Tatar Language at Tashkent State Pedagogical Institute. Since 1992 he has been working at Simferopol State University, he is at the head of the Crimean-Tatar Department. He makes the scientific researches in the sphere of the historical lexicology of Turkic languages, explores the problems of influence and enrichment between related and unrelated languages, studies the questions of nomination and classification of the lexical stock into semantic groups. He compiles text-books, training appliances and dictionaries for schools and Universities, he has published more than 100 scientific works including 12 books: 1. "Practical work on the grammar of Crimean-Tatar " (a text-book for Universities). 2. "The sources of forming the lexical stock of Crimean-Tatar". 3. "Borrowings from foreign languages in Crimean-Tatar". 4. A text-book for secondary schools. He leads post graduate students and probationers, delivers lectures in the contemporary Crimean-Tatar language, general linguistics.

She has published 12 articles on the investigated theme: "Formation of pair words in Crimean-Tatar". She gives courses of contemporary Crimean-Tatar, comparative grammar of the Crimean-Tatar and Russian languages, special courses on the investigated theme.
Alieva L.A. - an assistant.
She delivers lectures in contemporary Crimean-Tatar (syntax). Methods of teaching Crimean-Tatar. Practical tutorials on methods of teaching Crimean-Tatar. A special course and a seminar. She leads teaching practice and papers. The scientific work on the theme : "The methods of teaching the Crimean-Tatar language in junior forms". It has been published 2 articles on the investigated theme. It has been issued a methodical manual for school teachers and text-book for the 7-th form.
Medgitova E.N. - an assistant.
She gives courses in the history of the Crimean-Tatar language, dialectology. She works over the dissertation on the theme : " The ways to develop synharmonism in the dialects of the Crimean-Tatar language ".
Kokcheyeva S.M. - an assistant.
She gives courses : introduction to the study Turkish languages, the classical Turkish language. She gives practical lessons on the comparative grammar, the contemporary Crimean-Tatar language.
Karahalilova Z.E. - an assistant.
She gives practical lessons in morphology of Crimean-Tatar and the old Tatar written language. During summer she conducts dialectological practice. She gives practical lessons on syntax of the Crimean-Tatar language.

He gives special courses in Crimean-Tatar. He gives practical lessons in contemporary Crimean-Tatar, introduction to the linguistics. He leads the research work on the theme : " Phraseological units in the Crimean-Tatar Language ".
