The department of the Crimean-Tatar Language was established in 1992
attached to the Philological Faculty of Simferopol State University
(since 1999 Tavrical national university).
RESEARCHES
The members of the department conduct lectures, give practical
lessons and seminars, guide students' papers and researches, themes of
theses for Doctors' degrees in the Crimean-Tatar language, lead teaching
practice at schools. Scientific researches in the sphere of the history
of the language, study of styles, dialects and the contemporary state of
the taught language occupy the considerable place in the work of
the members of the department. The most skilled members of the department
compile text-books, training appliances, methodical elaborations, dictionaries
for schools and higher educational establishments.
STAFF
Memetov A.M. - the department chairman, Ph.D.,doctor of philology, professor.
In 1969 he graduated from Tashkent State University, Irani-Afghan department.
He worked as a teacher of Persian at the department of general linguistics,
then headed the department of the Crimean-Tatar Language at Tashkent
State Pedagogical Institute. Since 1992 he has been working at Simferopol
State University, he is at the head of the Crimean-Tatar Department.
He makes the scientific researches in the sphere of the historical lexicology
of Turkic languages, explores the problems of influence and enrichment
between related and unrelated languages, studies the questions of nomination
and classification of the lexical stock into semantic groups. He compiles
text-books, training appliances and dictionaries for schools and Universities,
he has published more than 100 scientific works including 12 books:
"Practical work on the grammar of Crimean-Tatar " (a text-book for Universities).
"The cources of forming the lexical stock of Crimean-Tatar".
"Borrowings from foreign languages in Crimean-Tatar".
A text-book for secondary schools. He leads post graduate students
and probationers, delivers lectures in the contemporary Crimean-Tatar language,
general linguistics.
Slinkin M.V.- candidat of History, professor. Graduated from special
Department of Military institute of Foreign languages (Moscow) in 1956.
In State Simferopol university since 1973.

Berberova R.A. - a senior lecturer. She has published 12 articles on
the investigated theme: "Formation of pair words in Crimean-Tatar". She
gives courses of contemporary Crimean-Tatar, comparative grammar of the
Crimean-Tatar and Russian languages, special courses on the investigated
theme.
Alieva L.A. - senior lecturer. She delivers lectures in contemporary Crimean-Tatar
(syntax). Methods of teaching Crimean-Tatar. Practical tutorials on methods
of teaching Crimean-Tatar. A special course and a seminar. She leads teaching
practice and papers. The scientific work on the theme : "The methods of
teaching the Crimean-Tatar language in junior forms". It has been published
2 articles on the investigated theme.

language", "Vocabulary-handbook of methodic terms", textbooks "Tuvghan edebiat"

Medgitova E.N. - an assistant. She gives courses in the history of the
Crimean-Tatar language, dialectology. She works over the dissertation on
the theme : " The ways to develop synharmonism in the dialects of the Crimean-Tatar
language ".
Kokcheyeva S.M. - an assistant. She gives courses : introduction to
the study Turkish languages, the classical Turkish language. She gives
practical lessons on the comparative grammar, the contemporary Crimean-Tatar
language.
Karahalilova Z.E. - an assistant. She gives practical lessons in morphology
of Crimean-Tatar and the old Tatar written language. During summer she
conducts dialectological practice. She gives practical lessons on syntax
of the Crimean-Tatar language.
Kurtesitov A.M. - an assistant. He gives special courses in Crimean-Tatar.
He gives practical lessons in contemporary Crimean-Tatar, introduction
to the linguistics. He leads the research work on the theme : " Phraseological
units in the Crimean-Tatar Language ".
Abimieva L.S. - an assistant. She gives courses in the practical Crimean-Tatar
Language, a special seminar in Crimean-Tatar.
Fetieva E.O. - an assistant. She delivers practical lessons on
Crimean-Tatar. (Syntax).
Chantalova G.Sh. - an assistant. She delivers practical lessons on
contemporary Crimean-Tatar.
Jemilev A.A. - an assistant. He delivers practical lessons on contemporary
Crimean-Tatar.
Akopyan A.A. - a senior lecturer. He delivers practical lessons in
the Arabian language. He gives lessons in the Arabian literature, special
philology.
Abduraimov N.Y. - an assistant. He delivers practical lessons in the
Arabian language.

Sufyanova M.S. - a senior laboratory assistant. She works under the
direct guidance of the head of the chair, she manages the study of the
department, she is responsible for the safety of the
equipment, appearance of the department, she is a financially responsible
person of the department.
