HISTORY
The history of the Department goes back to the year 1920.
SCIENTIFIC RESEARCHES
The Department assistants conduct the scientific
research and have won the competition of the projects held by the Ukrainian
Ministry of Education and of Ukrainian State Committee on science and new
technology:
The elaboration of the concept of complex social and economic development
of the regions in Ukraine.
System analysis and the concept of modelling the management of social and
economic development of the Crimea.
The elaboration of the principles of organization of governing Ukraine
on the whole and its regions separately
The elaboration of the conceptual foundation for controlling the development
of the Black Sea Region ( taking the Crimea as an example ).
Working out the curricula and practice programmes; defining on the system
and interdisciplinary basis of the most suitable number of required specialists.
SPECIALITIES
At present there is a post-graduate studentship
attached to the Department and and doctorate course of science mainly on
the following specialities:
"The economics of enterprises and management"
"Economic and mathematical modeling"

RELATIONS
Resulting from the convent for the cooperation between the Universities
of the basins of the Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea the Faculty cooperates
with the Universities of Economics of Odessa, Nikolaev, Kishinev,Genoa,
Nice, Grenoble, Perpinian, Istanbul, which providing an opportunity of
exchanging students and instructors between these Universities.
The Faculty assistants visited Mexico and France for scientific purposes
and studied economics and management there. On the basis of gained experience
manuals and books were published. The courses offered by the Faculty embrace
modern scope of knowledge.
